Piya Saliba did not take a straight path to leadership. Her story moves across countries, industries, and creative pursuits. Today, she leads as CEO of Fountain Capital. But her journey started much earlier, shaped by culture, art, and early exposure to business.
“I’ve always been pulled in two directions,” she says. “Creativity and business were both part of my life from the start.”
Piya grew up in Indonesia and Singapore. Her early years were filled with movement and contrast. On one side, she explored music, acting, and performance. On the other, she watched her family run a furniture importing business connected to Bali.
That mix mattered.
“Being around both worlds helped me understand people,” she explains. “Art taught me expression. Business taught me structure.”
She attended Swiss Cottage Primary School in Singapore before continuing her studies in the United States. Later, she enrolled at the University of Southern California. There, she expanded her global view and began to think seriously about her future.
